I think something spilled on the bottom of the oven

I just cooked chicken for dinner (I know, meat, but I can stomach chicken now and food is running low so oh well.)
I did not, I repeat, did NOT burn it but the house is filled with smoke from the oven and the smoke detector keeps going off. Every time I look out the window while it's going off, the neighbor lady looks over like she's trying to see what the noise is. To top it all off, now the chicken will be cold before I get the potatoes done because I forgot them so I'm just making broccoli with it.. that's boring!
I'm tellin' ya, if it can go wrong, it will.
